Grief doesn’t just affect our hearts—it can take a toll on our bodies too. Headaches, chronic pain, fatigue—sometimes, physical symptoms show up years after we’ve buried our grief instead of facing it.
Working through grief isn’t easy or quick. It takes strength, patience, and intentional choices. But finding healthy ways to cope can make all the difference. Maybe it’s through reading others’ stories, or through things like meditation, yoga, prayer, music, or creative expression.
Here are two simple but powerful steps:
Make healthy choices. Do things that support your mind and body.
Take action. Facing grief head-on helps prevent long-term emotional and physical harm.
Some people try to push grief aside—but it often finds its way out through the body later. By choosing to work through it now, we give ourselves the chance to heal fully.
